Standing On Boxes

Not sure what happened to Monday. Very weird day. Hopefully today will be better.

Just had two story ideas jump up and take over my writing. A Dawn drabble and a Buffy crossover ficlet of the HP sort (so not what I wanted to write today…
BtVS /HP crossover fanfic has been over done to the point of nausea and should be left to the experts like echo, Jinni, etc. and about a dozen others who have mastered that difficult art form. Certainly not me. Especially since I was starting to get somewhere with my other story.)

Having writing problems of the annoying sort. I keep dropping my “ed”s from the end of some words. For example, instead of writing “dumped” I’ll end up with “dump”.
I also done a couple bookshelfs instead of bookshelves type of errors in a couple places where I don’t have a spelling checker to catch it for me.

On to the next step in building my little story Red Raider, turning the drabbles in the prologue into ficlets and expanding the story from there. A ficlet is a bit harder and these won’t really be stand alone.

Looking for a map of a fictional location. Sunnydale, CA, USA. I actually have a book of maps of such places but it predates BtVS by 20 years.

Small child thought it was highly amusing that I’d gotten a beanbag chair… which led to amusement by others. Grumble!

I think they give you too much filling for those beanbags… instead of two bags, 1 1/2 would probably work better. We’ll see if it gets more comfortable over time or if I’ll have to remove some fluff.

I’ve been dying to get a beanbag chair for years but I just never seem to get around to it.
Today, I found just what I wanted at Walmart, a bean bag construction kit. Pick out a cover, and enough “beans” to fill it. $27 … and now I have a bright tie-dye-ish bean bag chair to sit in… Yeah !

Another $6 (3 loads washed & dried) sacrificed to the laundry room gods. A washer/drier would be paid for in 4 years at this rate. Hmmm…

No Emmy watching for me (Unless you count watching Uma Therman as “Emma Peel” in the Avengers movie). None of the shows nominated in a non-technical category were ones I would bother watching… guess I’m not part of the typical tv demographic.

And there doesn’t seem to be much I’ll watch this season either.

Maybe…

Another weekend ending with a strange sleep schedule… ugh.
