Finally!

Wasn’t a bad week. I’ve had worse. I’ve even managed to get a lot done… and now I’m off for the next week… no e-mail, no blogging… nada…

Time to dredge up some political commentary or not ?

Not just the usual round of “I’ve got a new movie out” promos. But a biography on A&E (Ok.. might have been an old one they trotted out) and a long article in EW.

I was actually doing fine until a few minutes ago… now I think I’m all out of “Monday-ness” and am ready to head off to bed, stick my head under a pillow and sleep.

So much for spending time writing…

What exactly do you do with a sea cucumber ? And why would you ? Only the Iron Chef knows for sure…

How do you write about a feeling when you don’t have the words for it ? Or the words you have don’t quite match ?

Odd. My first semi-risque bit of fiction – a drabble.

My favorite BtVS fanfiction website Twisting the Hellmouth is currently out of commission because it gets too much traffic for the kind of site hosting service the person who runs (Jinni) it has. Hopefully she’ll get enough donations to get it back up. Yes, I sent over a couple bucks. Hope it helps.

Got up an hour too early this morning. Now I’m just wasting time to catch up. This means, of course, that I’ll probably be late for work. Seems to always happen that way.

For those who came in late… today is Veterans Day and all the banks and the Post Office are closed. Guess I should have gotten stuff in the mail yesterday. Now it’ll be tomorrow. Dang nab it.

Not the best day on record but I made it. Even managed to go grocery shopping after work… and now, after an evening vegging in the fanfic mines… it’s time for bed.

Just ran across a small bit in a fanfic that is similar to a drabble I wrote. I remember reading this fanfic some time last spring or this summer. Not sure exactly when. And I wrote the drabble this fall… they aren’t really the same or are they ?

The fic: Paths Diverged/Divulged is a sequel to something else. So it won’t make much sense unless you’ve read that. Looking at the drabble you could almost think it was inspired by the couple paragraphs in it… but in my drabble it’s only a sentence or two so I’m not really sure.

Not sure what happened to it other than I spent Sunday feeling sick. And throwing up. (once) Yes… ewww… as the saying goes… fortunately, I hadn’t eaten much so there wasn’t much to throw up. Not my day… hopefully the week will get better.

This weeks’ episode of Tru Calling was better all around than the first one. And not as much running around by the star.
But I do sense a pattern – girl sees dead people, girl does a “Groundhog Day”, girl finds dead person still alive, girl attempts to solve cause of death and prevent it but gets it wrong the first time, solves some family stuff, figures out the real cause of death and prevents it. Too bad she didn’t get the guy.

Who let Rachel Ray out of her hotel room (In Hawaii for an episode of $40/Day) in something other than the dark pants/boring clothes she normally wears ? Ok, the outfit she wore in this episode is still a bit dark but it’s a dress!!!!!!
She needs to wear brighter colors.

For some reason, no one ever seems to use the local apartment laundry room when I do. I usually have it to myself on the days I need to wash some clothes. 2 dollars a load – wash & dry.

A boring evening…
