Watching some Scooby Doo Season 1 episodes (the good ones). Daphne gets kidnapped by the Villain of the Episode (VotE) – a Witch. Fred and Velma wander into a dark room and see a figure under a sheet.
Velma’s first thought – “It’s a ghost!”
Then there’s some moaning from the ‘ghost’ and Velma says “Sounds like Daphne!”
Off comes the sheet and — Daphne! Gagged and tied up.
Now, one wonders how Velma knows what Daphne sounds like gagged. Is this subtext? Or does Daphne get kidnapped a lot?
